History: This agency was founded on February 1, 1979 as the Murphy Insurance Agency, by Mike and Karen Murphy. The agency was started at 104 E. Somers St., Eaton, Ohio. It was started with zero premium volume and has grown to the present size. On January 1, 1980 the Hamilton-Wilson Insurance Agency was purchased and made a part of the existing agency. We kept the office location of the previous agency which is at 500 N. Main St., West Manchester, Ohio, in addition to the Eaton office. This agency was incorporated November 30, 1981, and is owned by Karen and Michael Murphy. The office was moved to the St. Clair Building on W. Main St., Eaton in 1982. In 1983 the agency purchased the West Ohio Insurance Agency, which was also located in the St. Clair Building. The agency moved to it's present location of 115 W. Main St. in the historical Acton House in 1985. The Cooper-Pool Agency was purchased in 1986 and was made part our of present agency. |
