Our Staff

Kim is a life long resident of Preble County and has been a licensed Agent with Murphy Insurance for over 35 years. Kim's many years of experience will bring you the confidence you need when making insurance decisions. Her extensive knowledge of the industry has been extremely valuable to clients. Kim and her husband Jeff have a daughter Amy who graduated from Ball State University with a degree in teaching. Amy is an elementary teacher in the Cincinnati area.

Missy began her career in the insurance industry with MetLife. She has been an Insurance Agent at Murphy Insurance since 1998 and has her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. Missy knows how to put together a comprehensive package of protection to fit individual needs and budgets.

Missy is an active member of her local church and served as a Board member, Trustee and Secretary of the church corporation. She spent many years facilitating community meals and feeding the homeless. Missy and her husband Blake have been married for over 30 years and spent much of that time motorcycling and raising their two active sons. Ben played football for the University of Charleston, and Matthew graduated from Anderson University with a degree in Music/Christian Ministries. Missy and her husband, now spend most of their free time spoiling their grandchildren.

Shawn is a graduate of Ohio University and joined the family business in 1991. Shawn is knowledgeable in multiple lines of insurance and has obtained his CSRM and CIC designations.

Shawn is very active in the community. In addition to being the past president and secretary of Lions Club, he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Preble County Chamber of Commerce in 2012 was a Board member of L&M Products. Shawn has coached several junior high and high school basketball programs over the years at Eaton, Twin Valley South and Tri-Village.

Shawn and his wife, Elizabeth Murphy have three daughters attending Miami, Ohio and Dayton Universities. Their youngest daughter, Grace, competes on University of Dayton tennis team.

Lisa grew up in Eaton and has deep family ties to the Preble County Community. She began her insurance career with State Farm. Lisa joined Murphy Insurance in 2019 and has been a tremendous addition to the team. Her diverse insurance experience, combined with her property and real estate background, provide her with a depth of knowledge that is invaluable in our industry. Lisa and her husband Steve enjoy time with their family and traveling the countryside in their Jeep Wrangler!

Sabrina was born and raised in Eaton. Upon graduating from Eaton High School and MVCTC in 2008, Sabrina joined the military alongside her twin sister where she served from 2008-2012. She met her husband, Matt, in 2013 and relocated to Verona with their two daughters. The girls keep her busy year round with dance, softball and basketball. Sabrina has enjoyed being with Murphy Insurance Agency since summer 2021 as their book keeper.

Kathy graduated from Ohio University in 1988 and joined Murphy Insurance in 1991. In addition to her management responsibilities with Murphy Insurance, Kathy is a member of the Eaton Rotary Club, former President of Downtown Eaton, Inc., served as a board member of the YMCA and Preble Co. Historical Society. Kathy and her husband Mark have two children. Their son Cameron, a graduate of Wittenberg University and a daughter, Sarah, graduate of Penn State. Both competed on their collegiate golf teams and were NCAA All-American’s.
